What Love’s Got To Do With Taking Risks And Living Your Best Life?

You may be wondering what love’s got to do with taking risks and living your best life. It has everything to do with it.
No matter what kind of goal you set in life or what resources you use to reach it, if you don’t do it from a place a love for others, it won’t really amount to much in the end. Love is the most important gift God has invested in us (1 Corinthians 13:2)._There is a quote I really like. In essence, it says we must love with great care and courage, because loving others requires us to be our most vulnerable selves. And I think that’s what pursuing your goals and pressing through uncomfortable situations to reach them is all about–being vulnerable. But know that vulnerability does not equal weakness. As a matter of fact, Brene Brown talks about the power of vulnerability in a TED Talk.[1] But I want to get back to the notion of love being a part of the equation of success.
To be successful requires being rich in respect and love and free from envy and hate. Yes, you need to feel good about the success of others and show great generosity of heart. And you may think this sounds crazy, but it’s always better to love than to be loved.
