Having a goal and objective can keep you focused. You need to know who you are and what's important to you, what you'll tolerate and what you won't, where you can say yes and where you can never compromise. When you do have that stand, this will help you stay on track; it would act as a steering that helps steer you away from the distraction of misplaced priorities. When you take a stand, you will be able to channel all your energy through the right tunnel to get you to where you want to be.
