Wow—it’s just a thought.

So many of us wrestle quietly in frustration, hoping for the trouble or misery to disappear into the blowing wind. Some people wish and hope for something grand to happen to them without putting in the hard work it takes to prosper in life. That’s why gambling in America is a multi-billion dollar industry. American gamblers lost—are you ready—nearly $120 billion in 2013.[1] Think about that for a moment. Those gamblers are probably like many people who look for a miracle worker to come and tap them on the shoulder and instantly make them successful people. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could make you successful with a simple yet magical touch? Imagine reclining on your sofa surfing channels when a miracle worker comes shows up of nowhere slightly tapping you on the shoulder. Then suddenly, wealth and prosperity are overflowing your life. Wow—it’s just a thought.

Remove Negative People and Influences

It can be challenging to get rid of the destructive voices inside your head when you are surrounded by people who are cynical. Once you start to hear negative words all the time or feel negative attitudes, it's difficult not to agree with them. Oftentimes you won't even notice negativity and your positive outlook on things start to dissolve. While there are many way for you to deal with negative people, it simply may be best for you stop communicating and interacting with them. People who are verbally negative all the time are most likely having negative thoughts, too. Individuals like this can be toxic and you don't need that in your life when you are trying to improve your thinking and your life.

Change Negative Thoughts with Encouraging Affirmations

Instead of dwelling on a bad thought, substitute it with a positive affirmation. Positive affirmations are positive declarations that are said with confidence and a perceived certainty. By saying them, you begin to overcome negative thoughts in your subconscious mind in a healthy way by putting a optimistic spin on it. You have to completely have faith in the words that are coming out of your mouth and use statements that you know will steer you to an improved attitude. Don't just say, "I am a successful person," but say things like: "I am young, powerful and rich” or
“every day in every way I am getting better and better. When you become more specific, it will support you in seeing the outcome much more clearly.
