To Achieve Purpose in Life, Do What You Do Best

The great thing about life is that we all have natural talents. We only need to discover what they are and use them to the best of our capabilities. When you give time and energy to your natural talents, you will find that you reap extraordinary rewards.

Rejoicing in our natural talents should be an easy thing to do. But for countless people, it's emotionally draining, because a lot of people fight their giftedness and natural talents for one reason or another. Perhaps their parents would disapprove of their creative talent to write or create art because they want them to be a prosperous doctor or lawyer. Maybe someone's talent wouldn't seem to have the ability to bring the kind of prosperity they aspire to have. At times people are just scared to pursue the purpose that seems to come so easily to them-they think success shouldn't be easy.

These are all justifications. And all the justifications in the world won't make natural talent go away. It will be there, a burning desire waiting for us to have faith and move through fear and doubts until we recognize what we should have been doing our whole lives. We have been given a purpose, through our natural talents and gifts for a reason-to use them to the advancement of the world and those who live in it.

Have you ever observed that when you participate in an activity in which you are naturally gifted, you feel invigorated, enthusiastic and positive? That's an indication that these are the things you should be concentrating on-when you're nearly buzzing all over, so happy you can barely stand still.

Your aim is to discover what makes you excited and begin to perfect it. Determine your talent in life and prepare. You must improve your natural abilities to perfect them-focus on your strong points, not your weaknesses. Look at the world's best athletes, for example. They train what they're naturally good at-and what they enjoy doing-every single day. They stick to what they do best and obtain astonishing rewards because of it.

There are only two phases to a life of purpose -- determine your talent and perfect it. Doing this will allow you to receive the fulfillment and contentment that you were meant to have, and it will also allow you to improve your chances greatly when it comes to fulfill your purpose in life.

Praying Through Difficult Choices

Making decisions can be difficult. Often there is a lot at risk. Our choices have the power to change our lives for the better-or for the worse. Making a choice certainly means taking a risk. We may fear not succeeding, undergoing displeasure from family or friends, or being eventually frustrated by our choice.

Many people have never been shown how to make prayerful decisions, especially decisions about their career or vocation. When we are unsure what criteria to use in selecting a career, we may look primarily at material factors like compensation, or ultimately make choices based on our instinct or feelings about the possibilities. We may know that there are other factors we should consider, but are unsure what they are.

To further confuse the situation, we may also wonder, "Isn't finding my purpose a mysterious spiritual process instead of a logical process? Could it really be a calling if it is something I have decided to do instead something to which God has directed?" These kinds of questions stem in part from our struggle in knowing how to strike a balance between our humaneness and the divine.

Considering the frustrations of making choices, it is understandable why some people avoid it. Instead of making choices, they tend to let their path through life be molded by outside circumstances and choices others make for them. They may use phrases like "I didn't choose this career, it kind of happened" or "I just found myself in this situation, but it's not what I really wanted to do" which convey a sense of just letting life happen instead of purposely choosing a route.

Many Christians struggle with knowing what to do when they are faced with important decisions about their life. Is it up to God to guide or up to us to decide? The key to resolving this dilemma is through prayer, realizing that it is both: God promises to guide and you are called to choose.
3 Steps to Praying Through Difficult Choices

1. When faced with difficult choices get still and use paper and pen. Listen for God's still small voice inside of you and write down whatever prompts, thoughts or feelings that you may have.

2. Outside influences can cause people to lose focus and not have clarity which makes hearing from God a lot more difficult. Take time out periodically to walk in nature and talk with God making sure to balance the time talking and listening.

3. Realize how powerful it is being connected to God who hears and sees all things. Doing so helps ease the burden of having to make difficult choices alone. Praying for wisdom is one of the most powerful prayers.

Prayer is Everything

The church must be anxious about nothing. In everything prayer must be made. Nothing is too small about which to pray. Nothing is too great for God to overcome. The Christian business by way of preeminence is prayer. The church must give itself to unceasing prayer. Never is prayer to cease in the church. This is the will of God concerning his church on earth.

He who would teach the people to pray must first himself be given to prayer. He who urges prayer on others must first tread the path of prayer himself. And just in proportion as preachers pray, will they be disposed to urge prayer upon those to whom they preach. Moreover, just in proportion as preachers pray, will they be fitted to preach on prayer. So exacting and imperative in its import and power is prayer that it stands first among spiritual values. First in point of time in all excellence of all duties is prayer. Prayer must be first in all occupations. Prayer is the most important of all things on earth.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. David said if I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. He knows the plans he has for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, and plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon him and come and pray to him, and he will listen to you. You will seek him and find him when you seek him with all your heart. He said when you call to him he will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Again: remember if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer, and whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. This is God's promise to you.

Prayer and Ministry: The Ability to Equip the Church

When the word ministry is mentioned, many things come to your mind. In the life of a believer in Christ, a special task has been set-aside for you, although it could be more than one particular task.

When you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, you automatically gain power, but many have misunderstood that power. That power is the birth of your ministry and the planting of a seed in a renewed garden. The way how that seed get to grow and blossom into your ministry is through pray.

That seed you have received is not the spirit of the world, but the spirit, which is of God, So, you must connect with God, and the way that you connect with God is through prayer, that you would know the things that are freely given to you of God, in order for you to fulfill your ministry.

The Apostle Paul said unto the church of Corinth, concerning spiritual gifts, he would not have them ignorant, that they should know that they speak by the spirit of God called Jesus Christ, if you say Jesus is Lord, it is by the Holy Ghost you speak.
Your gift is your ministry, there are diversities of ministry, but it is the same God, which worketh all in all. Gifts are given to all man to profit withal, whether there be healing, faith or miracles, you ministry is from God. Your ministry is part of a body that is needed to make up a whole. Your ministry would not survive without extensive prayer.
(11 Corinthians 12:14) - "For the body is not one member, but many". (KJV)
The body is the complete church of God, this is called the body of Christ. In order for Gods body to function accurately, every ministry needs to be operational, less the body is disabled or malfunctioning.

If you take a look at the natural body, if all of its parts are not functioning as they were created to work, it's very defaults to walk on one foot, even if you have a prostrated or a wooden leg. After a while you will get used to using that false leg, but it's not like the one that needs to be attached to the body. In the same way your individual ministry is needed for the body to be complete. Your minister needs to be attached.

For example, healing by itself is of no good without faith. In the same way speaking in tongues is of no good without the spirit to clarify what is said, all ministry is needed. Prayer ministry absolutely needs to function in the church at all times. This is the ministry that the church is depending on. God looks to the prayers warriors to fight the enemy, head on with prayer.

The purpose of the prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church, by being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit. The church must prayer that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.
