FIND ANY IMPROVEMENT TO THE CURRENT SITUATION

FIND ANY IMPROVEMENT TO THE CURRENT SITUATION

Focus on success, get used to looking for improvements in the current situation as a solution, regardless of its size. For example, half a pound loss may seem weak when your goal is 50 pounds, but this is a step in the right direction.

BE SOLUTION-FOCUSED, NOT PROBLEM-CENTERED

A positive attitude doesn't mean ignoring or repressing life's anxieties and troubles. It involves seeing things as they are, visualizing how they might become better, and then taking action to make them so; rather than seeing things negatively from the start, expecting things to get worse and barely summoning the energy to prevent a disastrous outcome.

God Created People To Have Power

#God created people to have power. They were not created to escape or window-shop or play video games all day. People were made to work. Much misunderstanding on work exists because of confusion about what we are created to be and do. God makes sure we understand that work is a vital piece of who we are. When we find ourselves at work, whether 9-to-5, a nightshift, in a office cubicle or at home, we shouldn't think we missed our purpose. We are actually doing what God created us to do!

Your work is a chance to imitate God by bringing goodness, order, light, and life into the lives of others. Notice that God's work in creation doesn't seem at all like drudgery. "And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good" (Genesis 1:31). When we see God's purpose in our work then our attitude about our own work will reflect Him. Work can be a delight!

Understand That You Are Not God:

Understand that you are not God:
Dishonest practice is the preventer of success. Sometimes you just have to own up to the fact that something’s not working. Face the fact that trying to fix the situation has failed. I know your heart is probably prone to helping victims and the less fortunate, and believe me, that’s a good quality. But, sometimes you have to realize that your ability is not good enough. Don’t let your concern for others distract you. Let go and let God. You are not God. This doesn’t mean that this person won’t get better if you don’t intervene. It just means that God is more suitable to handle the situation, so let the one who is in charge take charge.

It is natural that when you see someone in a difficult situation that they’re facing you want to come to their rescue, and in most cases you can. But watch out for the ones who seem to repeatedly have needs and always come to you. They will try to make you feel like you should be there for them, when God is the only one who could be there at all times.
One thing you must understand is that helping someone is different from carrying them. There is a saying that goes like this, “God helps those who help themselves.” What I am trying to say is one of the biggest hindrances to a person’s growth is always helping them and not giving them a chance to help themselves. You may think that you’re being helpful but in reality you’re blocking their learning process. What if this is God busy at work? How are they going to grow? In fact, if you are always there for them, why would they even attempt to do something for themselves? I know helping others makes you feel good, but you are interfering with their growth process. Give them room to grow on their own, and trust me, they will find God if they are really pursuing their purpose.

What inspired you to write this book?

What inspired you to write this book?

I was in my own period of questioning about the way successful people think and behave. What I observed during this period is that people who achieve success, whether outwardly or inwardly, they all think positively, and also have daily habits that help them to be productive and achieve their goals. Thoughts and daily actions must go hand in hand. This seemed to be an important piece missing in goal setting books. I was inspired to share what I learned with readers on the same journey.  https://thinklikeawinner.carlmathisbooks.com/
