STEPS TO GET YOURSELF FROM WHERE YOU ARE TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE

Life is never fair; there is no guidebook on what to do and when to do
it. The experiences we gather, we use it to navigate through reality to
create the life of our dreams. Yes, success doesn’t come easy, and some
factors in life make attaining it difficult but does that mean it's
impossible? No, in fact, success is easy to achieve when you know the
exact steps to take.

Here are seven steps you can take to get yourself from where you are to
where you want to be:

DON’T LET MISTAKES OF YESTERDAY AFFECT YOUR REALITY.
Who is not imperfect? (I need to see those hands if there are any.) We
all make mistakes; some we can quickly get over while some have a much
more drastic effect but should that stop you from evolving? The answer
is no. Don't let yesterday's mistakes make you afraid of tomorrow,
instead of getting swept up in the past, bring forward things that will
help you succeed in the future, not things that will draw you back.
Everyone has setbacks, challenges, failures, mistakes, and adversities,
but you always have a choice on what you carry ahead with you because
when planning on success, make sure you leave no room for doubt. Taking
along your mistakes can bring doubt.

TREAT EVERY EXPERIENCE AS A RESOURCE.
Every experience is a goldmine of knowledge because when both good and
bad experience goes into consideration, it makes you a better and
formidable person. You have to look at all your experiences as a
fountain you can dig into whenever you need the wisdom and knowledge
that they hold. Experience is a dominant source of information specially
tailored to you. Treat it as an asset, and it would be one of your
powerful weapons in getting to where you want.

KNOW WHAT DRIVES YOU.
It is essential you understand what motivates and drives you because
this knowledge enables you to follow what you want. Keep that motivation
up close because it can serve as a fuel to a long-term goal.

FIND YOUR SPHERE OF INFLUENCE.
Right minds think alike so surround yourself with people whom you can
work with, surround yourself with people who push you forward, people
who add value to your very existence, people who can help you get to the
next level. Find your sphere of influence, and you would see progress in
your life!

NEVER GIVE UP.
There is a time when life asks us to decide between staying stuck in the
same place and choosing something new. Taking up a new challenge in life
can bring difficulties, but if you do not give up, those difficulties
will make you a better person. Everything you pass through makes you
tougher, never give up, and always make long-term benefiting decisions.

KNOW THAT THE PAIN IS TEMPORARY
Getting to where you want in life requires effort and a little bit of
discomfort, you have to do something new, and most times those things
bring some unwanted pain. This pain can result from the trouble of doing
something new, but you have to remember that the pain is temporary and
the achievement lasts forever. Don't let temporary setbacks keep you
from success because persistence is the key. Refuse to give up, and
through that pain, you will end up exactly where you want to be.

TAKE A STAND
Having a goal and objective can keep you focused. You need to know who
you are and what's important to you, what you'll tolerate and what you
won't, where you can say yes and where you can never compromise. When
you do have that stand, this will help you stay on track; it would act
as a steering that helps steer you away from the distraction of
misplaced priorities. When you take a stand, you will be able to channel
all your energy through the right tunnel to get you to where you want to
be.

The above steps may require effort to accomplish but remember, if you
want to get yourself from where you are to where you want to be, you
need to have a plan and take action.
