STEPS TO GET YOURSELF FROM WHERE YOU ARE TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE

Life is never fair; there is no guidebook on what to do and when to do
it. The experiences we gather, we use it to navigate through reality to
create the life of our dreams. Yes, success doesn’t come easy, and some
factors in life make attaining it difficult but does that mean it's
impossible? No, in fact, success is easy to achieve when you know the
exact steps to take.

Here are seven steps you can take to get yourself from where you are to
where you want to be:

DON’T LET MISTAKES OF YESTERDAY AFFECT YOUR REALITY.
Who is not imperfect? (I need to see those hands if there are any.) We
all make mistakes; some we can quickly get over while some have a much
more drastic effect but should that stop you from evolving? The answer
is no. Don't let yesterday's mistakes make you afraid of tomorrow,
instead of getting swept up in the past, bring forward things that will
help you succeed in the future, not things that will draw you back.
Everyone has setbacks, challenges, failures, mistakes, and adversities,
but you always have a choice on what you carry ahead with you because
when planning on success, make sure you leave no room for doubt. Taking
along your mistakes can bring doubt.

TREAT EVERY EXPERIENCE AS A RESOURCE.
Every experience is a goldmine of knowledge because when both good and
bad experience goes into consideration, it makes you a better and
formidable person. You have to look at all your experiences as a
fountain you can dig into whenever you need the wisdom and knowledge
that they hold. Experience is a dominant source of information specially
tailored to you. Treat it as an asset, and it would be one of your
powerful weapons in getting to where you want.

KNOW WHAT DRIVES YOU.
It is essential you understand what motivates and drives you because
this knowledge enables you to follow what you want. Keep that motivation
up close because it can serve as a fuel to a long-term goal.

FIND YOUR SPHERE OF INFLUENCE.
Right minds think alike so surround yourself with people whom you can
work with, surround yourself with people who push you forward, people
who add value to your very existence, people who can help you get to the
next level. Find your sphere of influence, and you would see progress in
your life!

NEVER GIVE UP.
There is a time when life asks us to decide between staying stuck in the
same place and choosing something new. Taking up a new challenge in life
can bring difficulties, but if you do not give up, those difficulties
will make you a better person. Everything you pass through makes you
tougher, never give up, and always make long-term benefiting decisions.

KNOW THAT THE PAIN IS TEMPORARY
Getting to where you want in life requires effort and a little bit of
discomfort, you have to do something new, and most times those things
bring some unwanted pain. This pain can result from the trouble of doing
something new, but you have to remember that the pain is temporary and
the achievement lasts forever. Don't let temporary setbacks keep you
from success because persistence is the key. Refuse to give up, and
through that pain, you will end up exactly where you want to be.

TAKE A STAND
Having a goal and objective can keep you focused. You need to know who
you are and what's important to you, what you'll tolerate and what you
won't, where you can say yes and where you can never compromise. When
you do have that stand, this will help you stay on track; it would act
as a steering that helps steer you away from the distraction of
misplaced priorities. When you take a stand, you will be able to channel
all your energy through the right tunnel to get you to where you want to
be.

The above steps may require effort to accomplish but remember, if you
want to get yourself from where you are to where you want to be, you
need to have a plan and take action.

5 PRACTICAL WAYS TO CHANGE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND ATTRACT POSITIVE CHANGES IN LIFE

* START THE DAY RIGHT
Invest a small amount of your morning to create a mindset of resilience
and optimism as this will prepare you for the day. Tony Robbins said:
"80 percent of success is due to psychology - mindset, emotions, and
beliefs - and only 20 percent is due to mechanics." So start the day
right and keep your mind on things that bring you joy and fulfillment.

* BE SOLUTION-FOCUSED, NOT PROBLEM-CENTERED
A positive attitude doesn't mean ignoring or repressing life's anxieties
and troubles. It involves seeing things as they are, visualizing how
they might become better, and then taking action to make them so; rather
than seeing things negatively from the start, expecting things to get
worse and barely summoning the energy to prevent a disastrous outcome.

* FIND ANY IMPROVEMENT TO THE CURRENT SITUATION
Focus on success, get used to looking for improvements in the current
situation as a solution, regardless of its size. For example, half a
pound loss may seem weak when your goal is 50 pounds, but this is a step
in the right direction.

* CONJURE UP AN INNER COACH
Many of us are more confident and work better when someone encourages
us. A successful person is self-conscious and responsible to him or her
self. One way to strengthen these traits is to conjure a coach in your
mind. Remember that person that inspired you when faced with a scary
task? Ask yourself, "What would this person do if he or she is faced
with this task?" This would undoubtedly help you continue trying until
you overcome the fear or obstacle.

* GIVE YOURSELF DAILY "DONE WELLS"
Take a few moments every day to ask the question, "What have I done well
today?" This simple thought reinforces reassurance on a daily basis. In
turn, the positive feedback that you give yourself eventually helps you
to develop courage and self-confidence, which are extremely important
for success.

Being consistent with these tips will help ensure  that you will have a
life filled with positive thoughts and positive outcomes.

How to Tap into Your Hidden Abilities and Develop Them

“A TALENT THAT IS HIDDEN CANNOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED."

Everyone has a natural gift or talent, but some are more pronounced than
others. And yet, some others are hidden. Just how do you tap and develop
your hidden abilities? Below are some practical ways to help you tap
into your hidden abilities and develop them.

ASSESS YOURSELF

Learn more about yourself, your values, your interests, your
non-technical skills, and your abilities, in combination with your
personality type. Use self-assessment tools, such as personality tests,
to gather information about your features and generate a list of areas
of interest and expertise.

NOTE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
What are you proud of? Think about your life and consider the times
when you've really succeeded - whether you won a contest, received an
award, or the positive comments you got for something you did. This may
indicate the talent you possess. It is also good to think about the
rough moments in your life and how you have gone through these stressful
situations. Trying times often reveal our hidden skills and abilities.
Use what you have discovered to create a list of your strengths and
align them with your list of goals.

INVEST IN YOUR INTERESTS

If you can identify your talents, you can take advantage of this
incredible resource which will in turn, help you in all aspects of your
life, including your business. When you know what your talents are, you
feel more in line with your life. You have a goal. The more you explore
a talent, the more you cultivate it.

TALK TO OTHERS
Having an outside perspective can be very valuable and revealing.
Friends, family and other trusted advisors have the unique advantage of
observing you in ways you may have not noticed. Ask why they think you
are unique and what they think you are doing excellently. Make sure you
talk to people who know you well, but also to people who don’t know you
too well. Getting all these perspectives can tell you more about
yourself.

OUTLINE YOUR HOBBIES
Typically, what you’re drawn to is a natural vibe. Think about what you
love to do most during your leisure. What activities do you find
captivating, enthralling and even addictive? Your obsession may be
things that help you identify the deepest passions. Even if your hobby
is singing or reading, you may have a talent for writing songs or
writing scripts.

CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES
The experiences you had as a child can serve as a helix to discover
your hidden potentials and encourage you to unleash it. Look at your
past, consider the time when peer pressure didn't influence you.
Sometimes just because of what you have done as a child or what you were
known for, this can reveal your most profound talents and discover the
interests you can explore further.

KEEP RECORDS
Try to write your thoughts daily for a week. Record observations,
instincts, feelings, inspiration, and creativity. Let your ideas flow on
the page. Do it as regularly as possible, and you will notice your
behavioral patterns in areas of interest, genuine feelings, skills
awareness, and natural connectivity with certain people, places, and
things.

“Follow your passion, and it will lead you to your purpose."
